Beech Ridge Speedway hosted its annual Summerfest, the largest gathering of vintage race cars in New England, on August 8, 2016. The Spirit of 76 supermodified which was campaigned by ABC Racing in the early 1970s was seen restored and in public for the first time. Restoration was begun by Pete vonSneidern and finished by Scott and Jim Martel with help from many including Scott Heil and Justin Belfiore. Pictured left to right are the original crew (in red shirts) John Berry, Skip Ambrose, Jim Caverly, Dave Bennett; Scott Martel-white shirt and his dad Jim Martel-far right. The car has been donated to the museum.
