IT'S A BEAUTIFUL THING
RACE CARS AS ART
Pete vonSneidernís Big Car thatís currently on display at the North East Motor Sports Museum is a beautiful thing. Carefully and faithfully restored to be seen as it raced on the old dirt track in Keene, NH in the 1940s and 1950s, itís the real deal. All business. No chrome, nothing fancy, just built for speed.
But when photographer Bill Gordon saw the car in the museum, his view was different than most of us. While preserving the essence of the car, he put the rest of the museum in black and white.
We think Gordonís photograph is so beautiful, we are sharing it with you.
This is the same car thatís on one of the museumís most popular shirts in a photo that includes its driver, Art Rousseau.
