On Saturday afternoon, May 21, volunteers gathered for an annual thank-you dinner at the North East Motor Sports Museum. These are the people who truly make the Museum run. They air tires, open and close the building for guest hours, set up displays and break them down when it’s time for change, push cars, tow cars, paint, clean cars and the bathrooms, print photographs…. In essence the are responsible for much of the success the museum has earned.

 These are truly volunteers. None is paid but all are greatly appreciated. The museum continues in operations with just one paid employee, its Executive Director. Some of our volunteers not only contribute their time, they refuse reimbursement for their expenses, donate to the cause and purchase an annual membership. They are the heart and soul of the museum.
