2021 VOLUNTEER OF THE YEAR SANDY MACPHERSON

Sandy MacPherson was named 2021 volunteer of the year during the rescheduled yearly volunteer appreciation dinner at the museum on May 21st. Sandy has been volunteering her time at the museum before we even opened to the public in June of 2017. 

She always takes extra time to provide a warm welcome to museum visitors while she works the front desk and puts in extra effort to make children feel welcome when they visit. She is one of the most active front desk volunteers working many days during our public open hours. She’s usually the last volunteer to leave after a busy event at the museum because she’s still helping clean up from the day. In addition she spends an extraordinary amount of time maintaining the museums front yard gardens. 

Please join us in congratulating Sandy MacPherson on becoming the 2021 volunteer of the year. The museums executive director Tom Netishen is pictured handing Sandy her plaque which will permanently be displayed inside the museum.
