The team at the New England Racing Museum sends its condolences to the friends and family of Drew Fornoro who passed away on May 1st, 2023 at the age of 72.

Fornoro was an all-time great when it came to midget car racing across New England. He was a dominating force while driving for the Gene Angelillo team. He capturing nine Northeastern Midget Association championships and 85 NEMA wins, more than any other driver in that clubs storied history.

The #1 Lindblad Badger Pontiac which he drove to NEMA Championships in 1988 and 1989 will be on display at the May 6th New England Racers Reunion event in his honor.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 1 p.m. – 5 p.m. at Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High Street, Newton, NJ. A funeral service will be held on Monday, May 8, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with interment to follow at Good Shepherd Cemetery in Green Township.
