It looks like the end of a race but it’s the last of three laps taken on the NHMS road course at a responsible speed by those who participated in the annual New England Racing Museum Gypsy Tour motorcycle ride fundraiser.

With two outstanding police officers at the head of more than 50 motorcycles, the ride began at The Weirs during Laconia Motorcycle Week, 2023. After the ride from Laconia on back roads, it wound up at the New Hampshire Motor Speedway for three laps on the track’s road course with Doc Batsleer and our police escort up front to keep speed reasonable. Then many of the riders visited the museum to enjoy seeing the collection of vintage motorcycles including the new racing sidecar bike.

The museum is open to the public for the 100th Annual Laconia Motorcycle Week on June 16th, 17th and 18th 10am to 4pm.
