LaRosa-Silva Pinto Modified On Display

“Dynamite” Ollie Silva drove this modified to feature wins all over the northeast from 1972 to 1977. The original scout framed pinto was built in the winter of 1971-72 by Bucky Swinarski, Bill LaRosa and John Laro. The big block 427 modified featured a then rare offset drivetrain, 35 year old Ford straight front axle and torsion rear suspension. The car made its debut in edgecomb steel blue then to orange and at one time featured a Chevette body.

We would like to thank car owner Rick Eastman (standing beside the car) for loaning us this great looking modified for display this summer. The car will remain on display through the end of the year at the museum.
