Jim Lowrey Jr joins the New England Racing Museum Board of Directors

Jim Lowrey Jr was voted onto the board of directors at the December 2023 annual meeting. He is a lifetime member of the museum and has actively supported the museums car show events since their inception as an attendee and now sponsor. For 45 years Jim has been restoring cars for clients across the country. He has restored historically significant cars such as the Ray Brown 1932 Ford Roadster. His restorations have been featured at Pebble Beach, Amelia Island and Meadow Brook Concours d’Elegance events. A master restorer of hot rods, Jim’s work was featured in the Ken Gross book, Art of the Hot Rod. Originally from Chelmsford MA, he has resided in Tilton, NH for the last 25 years in which his restoration shop Lowrey’s Auto Restoration is located.

Since 2022 Jim has served as a judge at our annual Hot Rods, Muscle and More car show fundraiser at the museum. Jim has also had great success driving open wheel race cars across New England, winning in supermodifieds, modifieds, sprint cars and midgets. He has been actively planning new ways to promote the museum and has agreed to chair a committee for an exciting new event the museum plans to launch in 2025.
