Pushing Dirt!



Andy Kaski has been pushing dirt to prepare the site of the North East Motor Sports Museum since November 11. The plot had to be leveled to accommodate the building, its parking lots and grounds. Bentley Warren loaned his D-8 Cat bulldozer at no cost to the museum for the job. Next task will be to put the forms down and fill them with concrete to create the building’s foundation. Our aim is to get that work done before

Groundbreaking for the North East Motor Sports Museum was held on Friday afternoon, September 25, 2015 under brilliant sunny skies. A crowd estimated at over 400 came to watch the historic moment.

History Made at Groundbreaking This Friday!

History will be made at Groundbreaking for the North East Motor Sports Museum this Friday at 2PM. For the first time ever, all four New England drivers who have won at NASCAR’s top level will be together at the same time, same place. Pete Hamilton, winner of the 1970 Daytona 500, and Joey Logano, winner of the 2015 Daytona 500 (45-years after Hamilton’s win) will join Ron Bouchard and Ricky Craven as the only four drivers to win in NASCAR’s top level.

Groundbreakers Named!



Twelve have been named as Groundbreakers for the new North East Motor Sports Museum in a ceremony that will take place on September 25 at 2pm. Groundbreakers include Joey Logano, Ron Bouchard, Ricky Craven, Andy Cusack, Bentley Warren, Ken Smith, Skip Matczak, Dave Frahm, Frank Manafort, Bill Manafort, Dick Berggren and Paula Bouchard (in memory of her father, Ed Flemke).

Museum Groundbreaking Friday, September 25th!

Groundbreaking for the North East Motor Sports Museum will be at 2pm on Friday, September 25, 2015 at the site where the museum will be constructed. It's just north of the Shell station on Speedway property on Rt 106 in Loudon, NH.

NHMS Cup Weekend Exhibit



The North East Motor Sports Museums exhibit at the July 5-Hour Energy 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway was the museum's successful showing at the track to date. Lew Boyd (left) and Ric Mariscal were among the many board members and museum supporters on hand to share the museum's story with the guests who stopped by the exhibit.
You Could Own This Truck!

You Could Own This Truck!



This magnificently restored 1938 Cab-over White stake body truck has been donated to the museum and will be sold at public auction. The proceeds will benefit the North East Motor Sports Museum. The auction will be preceded by a major vintage truck show on July 18 and 19 at the Owl's Head Transportation Museum in Owl's Head, Maine where you can see it up close. The auction will be held at Owl's Head on August 22.

MOTORCYCLE RIDE BENEFITS MUSEUM



On Sunday, June 14, Board Members Bob Coy and Paul Giblin's annual Gypsy Tour motorcycle ride left Wiers Beach in Laconia, NH with a police escort heading to New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Riders paid $10 each, all of which went to the Museum project, to participate.

A GIFT



The family of Joe O'brien has donated his race car to the North East Motor Sports Museum. Built in 1968 by Phil Libby, the car was successfully raced until 1973. Originally outfitted with a Corvette independent rear end, the car now has the traditional quick change as Obrien drove it.

Annual Meeting Held



The annual meeting of the Racing History Preservation Group was held on Saturday, May 9, at Ray Boissoneau’s magnificent private museum in Concord, NH. Attendees were told that a 2015 groundbreaking with construction to immediately follow is highly likely.

Open Meeting May 9th

The Open Meeting of the Racing History Preservation Group and its North East Motor Sports Museum will be held on May 9 at 2pm in Concord, NH at a private auto racing museum. Those in attendance will learn about progress made toward groundbreaking, committees that will determine what will go into the museum for which those in attendance can volunteer to have real input on what’s to be displayed.

A Productive Three Months

The 90-day period between Christmas, 2014 and March 25, 2015 was one of the most productive in the history of the North East Motor Sports Museum. We took in over $80,000 in cash and donated stock. We signed the lease as did Bruton Smith for 2.66 acres at NHMS. We had the land surveyed and insured it for liability. Nearly 1,000 copies of the book, “A History of Auto Racing in New England were sold before year’s end.
