Ed Shea had his magnificent supermodified fully restored and delivered it to the museum in the fall. The driver, Russ Wood, won two track championships, two ISMA championships and dozens of races including many big ones.

The North East Motor Sports Museum was honored on Thursday January 25th at the annual New Hampshire Lakes Region Chamber of Commerce 99th Awards Ceremony where the Golden Hammer award was presented to the museum.

The latest in a long line of race car restorations by Jim Martel is finished. Begun in September, 2016, the car was backed out of the garage and driven by Scott Martel (pictured with his father) on December 7, 2017, more than a year later.

New to the museum cars are arriving as we move into winter. Among them is the cut-down built by the late Phil Libby and driven by the late Joey O'Brien.

Gil Coraine has been retained as the museum's Operations Director. He is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the museum. Gil has a long and deep motorsports history. He says, "I'm delighted to be selected as the museum’s Director of Operations."

Legends Day and the Annual Meeting - November 4



Saturday, November 4 will be a huge day for the North East Motor Sports Museum. Beginning at noon, the Museum will honor two of New England’s finest racers, Bugs Stevens and George Summers. The Legends Day event at the Museum will include an entertaining roundtable with the honoree superstars that includes audience participation.
